Split

Split was a really good psychological thriller overall. It reminded me a lot of 10 Cloverfield Lane as far as the basic story at first. But obviously there was a lot more going on with the different personalities and whatnot. James McAvoy did an incredible job portraying all the different "characters" on screen. So much so that you could even see the most the subtle of differences from person to person. And by the end you knew who he was just by looking at his eyes. This is probably one of my favorite performances I've seen from him by far.

new "Dark Universe" of monsters. Only time will tell. Now as most M. Night movies go there's always something that changes the way you see the movie. I won't give anything away but I will say towards the end if you feel things are getting a little out of control. Just wait, and it'll all make sense when it's over. It's not a twist, there's no dead people, but the reveal is pretty awesome. And if for some reason you see it and still don't understand, message me and I'll explain it. 😉

" It is a fun, action packed ride with some good old fashioned scares thrown in just to keep things interesting. "

Tom Cruise does a great job of drawing you in from start to finish. You can really tell that he was in it all the way. And I would expect nothing less honestly. Sofia Boutella (Ahmanet) did a great job bringing out the physicality of the monster. Something I feel was lacking from most of the earlier movies. You also connect with her throughout the story even with minimal dialogue.
