Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri

First of all I would just like to say that if Frances McDormand doesn’t win an Oscar for her performance in Three Billboards. I will lose whatever faith I have left in Hollywood. A close second for me would be Saoirse Ronan in Lady Bird, but damn was this flawless.

This film is not the easiest watch strictly due to the subject matter. However it is still able to bring those dark comedy elements into the fold, even when you wouldn’t expect it. Which at times made you question whether to laugh or cringe. But at that same moment you couldn’t take your eyes off of the screen; for what was transpiring was truly brilliant.

" Overall this film has some of the best writing and collection of characters I’ve seen out of the “Oscar bait” movies so far. "

I would love to say that I recommend everyone go see this movie. However knowing the reality of the situation with the majority of the moviegoing audience I can’t. But if you are a fan of great cinema and not afraid to step outside of your comfort zone a bit, this is a can’t miss. Brought to you by the same writer/director of In Bruges and Seven Psychopaths. This is sure to be a great addition to his catalogue of films. I am very much looking forward to seeing what comes next from this fantastic director.
